Hocheit 2 - Wedding II



Sao's Eltern (links) erwarten uns schon vor dem Haus. Sar (ein Freund von mir von der Webster University) traegt den traditionellen Schirm fuer mich. Er ist aus dem Norden Thailand's (Chieng Mai) und es war sein erstes Mal im Sueden. Es hat ihm gut gefallen. Wie jedem der in den Bann des Suedens geraet.

Sao's parents, on the left, are waiting forus in front of the house. Sar, a friend of mine from Wesbter, is carrying a 'traditional' umbrella. He's from the north of Thailand (Chieng Mai) and this is his first time in southern Thailand.

He said he liked it, because the people are more honest and more direct. I think he's also caught by the southern mentality.

Die erste Begegnung von Rita und Sao's Eltern. Hier sehr schoen festgehalten. Ich weiss nicht, wer aufgeregter war. Sao's Eltern davor Rita zu treffen oder umgekehrt...

The first time Rita and Sao's parents meet. Nice shot. I am not sure who was more excited, Rita or Sao' parents.



Jao Pu oder Ei Uan (der kleine Dicke) Sao's Neffe - in rot - erwartet mich vor dem Haus, um mir die Schuhe zu putzen. Dafuer kriegt er dann einen roten Umschlag von mir mit 100 Baht (2 Euro).
In Thailand geht halt nichts ohne Schmiergeld... ^^

Jao Poo or Ei Uan (the small fat one - roughly translated), Sao's Cousin, -in red- is waiting for me in front of the house. He is going to symbolically clean my shoes before entering the house and receives a red envelop with 100 Baht in return.

In Thailand nothing works without bribes... ^^



Der Weg wird freigeraeumt. Schuhe putzen ausziehen und rein ins Haus!
